Days of Our Lives: 2015-16 Season Ratings (final)

Days of Our Lives TV show on NBC: ratings (cancel or renew?)NBC’s only remaining soap opera has been around for more than 50 years. Days of Our Lives’ ratings have dropped a lot over the years but, thankfully, there’s no danger of it being cancelled soon. The network has already renewed it for the 2016-17 season (the show’s 52nd!). Will it be safe after that? Stay tuned.

Set in the Mid-western town of Salem, Days of Our Lives revolves around the members of the Brady, Horton, and DiMera families — along with their friends, enemies, and lovers. Castmembers include Kristian Alfonso, John Aniston, Camila Banus, Bryan Dattilo, Mary Beth Evans, Billy Flynn, Galen Gering, Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Lauren Koslow, Wally Kurth, Jen Lilley, Kate Mansi, Eric Martsolf, Joseph Mascolo, Peggy McCay, Casey Moss, James Read, Melissa Reeves, James Reynolds, Suzanne Rogers, Josh Taylor, Greg Vaughan, Robert Scott Wilson, and Arianne Zucker.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available. You can see how the ratings for the four soap operas compare here.

Note: Days didn’t air the weeks of 8/8/16 and 8/15/16 because of Olympics coverage.

For comparisons: The 2014-15 season of Days of Our Lives averaged a 0.75 rating in the 18-49 female demographic with 2.40 million total viewers.
