Will The Ray return to the Arrow-verse? Recently, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke with Comicbook about the possible return of the new character.
Portrayed by Russell Tovey, The Ray (aka Ray Terrill) is a metahuman with light manipulation powers who teams up with other heroes against evil. The character, who has appeared in episodes of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, now has an animated series on The CW Seed called Freedom Fighters: The Ray.
Speaking to Comicbook, Guggenheim said the only thing keeping The Ray from coming back is Tovey’s availability:
Well, the Earth X-Ray, no. The Earth 1 Ray, who you met in the crossover, absolutely. The only two things that we need to see The Ray in live action again are a great story and Russell’s availability. We get those two things and you’ll absolutely see him again. We certainly would hope to.”
