What can fans expect from the upcoming Deadwood movie? Recently star Timothy Olyphant told Vulture some familiar faces will be seen in the HBO series follow-up.
The TV movie will be a sequel to the HBO TV show, which ended in 2006. Returning cast members include Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane, Molly Parker, Paula Malcolmson, Kim Dickens, Brad Dourif, Anna Gunn, and John Hawkes.
In the interview, Olyphant revealed both Larry Cedar and Garret Dillahunt will appear in the Deadwood movie as new characters. During the series’ run, Cedar played opium addict Leon and Dillahunt played two characters, Jack McCall and Francis Wolcott.
From Olyphant:
A lot of people did come back, though. Fucking Larry Cedar was out there today, playing background. [Garret] Dillahunt snuck in. … He played Drunk Number Two! He didn’t even get top drunk! [Laughs.] Talk about a reason to call your agent. ‘Hey, why am I not Drunk Number One?'”
Deadwood: The Movie premieres on HBO on May 31st at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
