Is the Deadwood movie happening or not? Recently, star Timothy Olyphant discussed the possibility of a reunion for the HBO TV show, Deadline reports.
As reported earlier, creator David Milch has already finished the script for the Western drama’s follow-up film. The HBO series, which ended in 2006 after three seasons, starred Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane, Molly Parker, Jim Beaver, W. Earl Brown, Kim Dickens, Brad Dourif, and John Hawkes.
During a recent radio interview, Olyphant said he’s unsure if the logistics will work out to shoot HBO’s Deadwood reunion movie:
It’s very hard to get people together for a barbecue that lasts an afternoon, let alone to get everyone together for a production that lasts a month or two.”
Earlier, HBO president Casey Bloys said he’d like production on the Deadwood movie to begin this fall. Nothing official has been announced, though.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Deadwood? Would you watch the reunion movie?
