Designated Survivor has some new company. Deadline reports Virginia Madsen and Malik Yoba will star in the upcoming ABC series.
The drama stars Kiefer Sutherland as a low-level Cabinet staffer who becomes president after an attack on Washington. The cast also includes Maggie Q, Natascha McElhone, Kal Penn, Adan Canto, Italia Ricci, LaMonica Garrett, and Tanner Buchanan.
Madsen will play “play Kimble Hookstraten, the “other” Designated Survivor during the State of the Union address — but for the rival political party.” Meanwhile, Yoba has been cast as “Jason Atwood, the seasoned Deputy Director of the FBI.”
Designated Survivor debuts on September 21st.
