Could Designated Survivor be moving to Netflix? According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming service is considering picking up the cancelled ABC TV show for a third season.
As reported earlier, ABC has cancelled the political drama after two seasons. The cast includes Kiefer Sutherland, Natascha McElhone, Adan Canto, LaMonica Garrett, Kal Penn, Maggie Q, Malik Yoba, Paulo Costanzo, Zoe McLellan, Ben Lawson, Tanner Buchanan, and Mckenna Grace.
Per THR, Netflix is thinking about saving Designated Survivor for a third season. The streaming service holds the international SVOD rights to the political drama and has a history of rescuing cancelled network series.
However, sources say there is no deal on the table yet since Hulu holds the U.S. streaming rights to Designated Survivor and it’s an expensive show to produce.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Designated Survivor? Would you watch the show on Netflix?
