Designated Survivor has some new company. Deadline reports Royal Pains star Paulo Costanzo will be a series regular on season two of the ABC TV show.
The political thriller follows Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland), a low-level Cabinet member who becomes President of the United States after an attack on the Capitol. The cast also includes Natascha McElhone, Adan Canto, Italia Ricci, LaMonica Garrett, Tanner Buchanan, Kal Penn, and Maggie Q.
On Designated Survivor, Costanzo will play “Lyor Boone, the new White House Political Director, a whiz kid brought on by Emily (Italia Ricci) to help a presidency struggling with its messaging and political strategy.” The new season premieres this fall on ABC.
