Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency has some new company. Deadline reports Tyler Labine has joined season two of the BBC America TV series.
Loosely based on novels by Douglas Adams, the comedy-drama revolves around an eccentric time-traveling “holistic detective” (Samuel Barnett) and his reluctant sidekick, a washed up rocker (Elijah Wood). The cast also includes Hannah Marks, Jade Eshete, Fiona Dourif, Aaron Douglas, Dustin Milligan, Michael Eklund, Miguel Sandoval, and Mpho Koaho.
In the new season of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, Labine will play “Sherlock Hobbs, an under-stimulated but overly enthusiastic small-town sheriff who is eager to help Dirk and crew solve the Season 2 mystery.” BBC America has not yet announced a premiere date for season two.
