Little has been released about the new series, but Parker will be playing Frances, “a woman who suddenly begins to reassess her life and her marriage, and finds that making a clean break and a fresh start is harder than she thought.”
The series comes from Sharon Horgan, who recently co-created, wrote, and starred in the romantic comedy series Catastrophe with comedian Rob Delaney.
Parker is set to serve as an executive producer of Divorce with Molly Shannon, Thomas Haden Church, Talia Balsam, and playwright Tracy Letts also attached.
This will be Parker’s first return to HBO for a TV series since Sex and the City ended in 2004.
What do you think? Are you excited to see Sarah Jessica Parker back on HBO? Does Divorce sound like something you’d watch? Did you watch Catastrophe?
