The fandom universe may just explode. Maisie Williams, Arya Stark herself from Game of Thrones, will be guest starring on another immensely popular fantasy series, Doctor Who, for two episodes. BBC America has just released a sneak peek clip of the episode, “The Girl Who Died,” which airs on October 17.
This first episode introduces Williams as a young Viking girl, Ashildre. Along with the Doctor and Jenna Coleman’s Clara, Ashildre and her Viking compatriots must defeat a deadly intergalactic army.
From Maisie Williams, in a press statement:
I didn’t know much about it, but knew they were introducing a new character to work closely with the Doctor. I’d got through the second episode and absolutely loved it! I was going to do a tape but ran out of time because I was in America shooting another film, so my agent worked really hard and sent over lots of clips and videos – they liked them and gave me the role.”
