Dr. Ken: Season Two Ratings

ABC has cancelled several Friday sitcoms over the years but Dr. Ken managed to beat the odds and was renewed for a second season. How will this comedy perform in the ratings this time around? Will it be renewed for a third season or, will it be cancelled instead?

Based on the experiences of creator and star Ken Jeong, Dr. Ken follows the life of a brilliant but unorthodox physician and family man. Doctor Ken has the best of intentions but he often drives his workmates and loved ones crazy. The cast also includes Suzy Nakamura, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Jonathan Slavin, Kate Simses, Albert Tsai, Krista Marie Yu, and Dave Foley.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Last year comparison: The first season of Dr. Ken averaged a 1.10 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.27 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
