TV show description:
A dramatic series following the adventures of female doctor Michaela Quinn (Jane Seymour) in 1867.

After the death of her father, “Dr. Mike” journeys to the small, wild west town of Colorado Springs to set up her own practice. She makes the difficult adjustment to Western life with the help of outdoorsman and Cheyenne friend Byron Sully (Joe Lando).

After being bitten by a poisonous snake, midwife Charlotte Cooper (guest Diane Ladd) asks Michaela to look after her three children; Matthew (Chad Allen), Colleen (Erika Flores, later Jessica Bowman) and Brian (Shawn Toovey).

Other town residents include Dorothy Jennings (Barbara Babcock), Loren Bray (Orson Bean), Horace Bing (Frank Collison), and Jake Slicker (Jim Knobeloch).
