FOX is slipping on their dancing shoes. Deadline reports Jennifer Beals and Kenny Ortega are developing a dance series for the network titled The Edge.
Beals is known for her leading role in the ’80s dance movie classic Flashdance. Meanwhile, Ortega has served as a choreographer and director on several projects, including High School Musical and Michael Jackson’s This Is It tour.
From writer James Larosa, The Edge “is set in the LA dance world, where it’s survival of the fittest. And no one is more fit than this ensemble of ambitious, sometimes ruthless women and men who have trained their whole lives to be the best and won’t let anything—or anyone—get in their way.”
Beals and Ortega will executive produce alongside Larosa.
