Empire of the Dead is bringing more zombies to television, and there is word out now that the series could land on AMC.
Cinema Blend reported that AMC was adding the new zombie to its line-up. That would mean AMC would corner the market when it comes to zombies on the small screen. The network already airs The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead.
Arthur Suydam, the comic artist that worked on the comics, teased a bit about the show’s future at the Wizard World Convention.
“The series that I just finished up is for Marvel Comics. So this is me and George Romero, and this just got signed to AMC, so it’s gonna be the new big zombie series on AMC. It’s expected to be this one right here.”
This wouldn’t be a zombie series like The Walking Dead. The series is set in New York City after a zombie outbreak, but the city also has a large population of vampires. The humans will be stuck in between the two.
