Escape at Clinton Correctional almost has its stars! Patricia Arquette and Benicio del Toro are in talks to star in the limited drama series, per a Deadline report.
The Showtime series will show the events of two convicts back in 2015. Deadline shared the following about the series and their roles:
“Escape at Clinton Correctional is based on the prison break in upstate New York in the summer of 2015, which spawned a massive manhunt for convicted murderers Richard Matt and David Sweat. The duo were aided in their escape by a married female prison employee with whom they both became sexually entangled.
Del Toro will play convicted murderer Matt. Arquette will play Tilly Mitchell, who supervises the prison tailor shop.”
The role of David Sweat has not yet been cast, but it appears there is someone already in talks for the role.
