Face Off: Season 10 of Syfy Series to Debut in January

Syfy isn’t making this up. Season 10 of their popular reality competition series Face Off will premiere on January 13th.

Face Off pits special-effects make-up artists against each other in a series of creative challenges for a grand prize of $100,000, a 2016 Fiat 500and a paid-for vacation.

The tenth season of Syfy’s most-watched unscripted series will feature guest judges like Paul Reubens (of Pee-wee’s Playhouse) and Bill Corso, the make-up artist for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

LOS ANGELES – December 18, 2015 – Syfy’s award-winning and most-watched unscripted series, FACE OFF, will return on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 9PM ET/PT for its landmark 10th season. Over 14 episodes, talented artists will participate in elaborate challenges for a grand prize and the honor of being Hollywood’s next great effects artist.

FACE OFF, the 2015 Critic’s Choice Award winner and 2016 nominee for “Best Reality Show – Competition,” explores the unlimited imagination that allows special-effects make-up artists to create amazing works of living art. Hailing from across the United States and Canada, the 14 Season 10 contestants are:

Season 10 will also feature some of the entertainment industry’s most talented and award-winning guest judges, including iconic actor, writer, producer Paul Reubens (Pee-wee’s Playhouse, Gotham); executive producer Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead, Syfy’s Hunters); Rob Kazinsky (Warcraft, Pacific Rim, True Blood); Oscar nominated and Emmy Award-winning producer Jason Blum (The Normal Heart, Whiplash); Lance Henriksen (The Terminator, Aliens); Academy Award-winning makeup artist Bill Corso (Star Wars: The Force Awakens); Academy Award-winning makeup artist Lois Burwell (Braveheart, Lincoln, War of the Worlds) and more.

McKenzie Westmore, a member of a multi-generational family dynasty whose name is synonymous with the make-up effects field, returns to host FACE OFF, as do the series’ popular judges, multiple Academy Award-winner Ve Neill (The Hunger Games, Pirates of the Caribbean), industry veteran Glenn Hetrick (CSI: New York, Heroes, Legion), and creature designer Neville Page (Avatar, Prometheus). World-renowned Hollywood makeup artist Michael Westmore (Star Trek) continues as contestant mentor.

Season 10’s two-part finale, premiering on April 6 and April 13, will have contestants competing to win $100,000, a 2016 Fiat 500 and a VIP trip courtesy of Kryolan Professional Make-Up to one of their 85 international locations.
