Breaking news! According to Deadline, ABC is developing a new comedy about the broadcast news industry.
The series, titled Fair and Balanced, comes from Harold & Kumar writers Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz. The two will teaming up with Kumar star Kal Penn who will play an “an aspiring NPR reporter who is swayed to work at a Fox News-type channel.”
Penn himself has experience with the world of television news and Washington. He’s previously worked for Vice News. And for two years, he served as the associate director of the White House Office of Public Engagement in addition to being a member of the National Arts Policy Committee.
Penn is set to executive producer alongside Schlossberg and Hurwitz.
