Family Guy has aired on FOX over the course of 16 years, and a movie has been in the works for several of those years. Seth MacFarlane has wanted to bring the clan from Family Guy to the big screen for a long time.
However, there has not been much said about the possibility of a movie for Family Guy since 2012, according to Cinema Blend. That changed earlier this week.
MacFarlane answered a fan question on his Twitter earlier this week, and he addressed the Family Guy movie.

Now, soon is not a set date, but the tweet does make it known that the project is not dead.
