TV show description:
An animated situation comedy, created by Seth MacFarlane. The series takes place in a fictional Rhode Island town that’s based on MacFarlane’s hometown and the story centers around the dysfunctional Griffin family.

Peter Griffin (MacFarlane) is your average sitcom father. He’s close with his kids, yet not necessarily very adept at fatherhood. He’s overweight, drinks a lot, and is not very bright. Sometimes the voice of reason, Lois Griffin (Alex Borstein) is Peter’s wife and a stay-at-home-mom. Aside from handling her family, she also teaches piano lessons.

Megan Griffin (Mila Kunis) is the oldest of Peter and Lois’ children and the only daughter. At 17, she’s not very attractive and is quite self-conscious about it. Chris Griffin (Seth Green) is the middle child and about 14 years old. Like his father, he’s not very bright, is heavy, and can be quite gullible.

The baby of the family is Stewie Griffin (MacFarlane). He talks very much like an adult with a very advanced vocabulary. He often wants to murder his mother and tries to do so repeatedly. He could be displaying homosexual tendencies, and at the very least seems a little confused about his sexuality. Along with his many weapons, he also has a teddy bear he calls Rupert who he imagines is alive with a muscular male body.

The family dog is Brian (MacFarlane), and he talks and does other things that are very human-like, despite being born in a puppy mill. His dad was a police dog who was taught to attack black people. When he first met Peter, he was washing cars, but now lives with the Griffins. In many ways, he’s smarter than the rest of the family. He enjoys the finer things in life such as the opera and theatre, and bends towards liberalism. He doesn’t have a steady girlfriend but has developed deep feelings for Lois.

Peter’s friends include mild-mannered African-American Cleveland Brown (Mike Henry), Jewish pharmacist Mort Goldman (John G. Brennan), sex addict Glenn Quagmire (MacFarlane), and paraplegic Joe Swanson (Patrick Warburton).
