Family Ties: Gary David Goldberg Gets the Last Word

With the passing of Gary David Goldberg earlier today, I was reminded of the touching series finale of Family Ties. At its peak, the sitcom was number two in the ratings and helped to make Michael J. Fox a household name.

NBC moved Family Ties to Sunday nights in its final years and the ratings waned considerably. Still, a whopping 36.3 million viewers tuned in to watch the last episode.
