The next season of Fargo will have not one, but two Ewan McGregors. Deadline reports the actor has been cast in two leading roles for season three of the FX series.
Earlier, showrunner Noah Hawley hinted that season three will take place in a more contemporary time than the previous two seasons, which were set in 2006 and 1979.
McGregor will play brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy in the upcoming season. An official premiere date has not been announced, but it is expected to debut in 2017.
From Deadline:
Emmit Stussy is the Parking Lot King of Minnesota. A handsome, self-made, real estate mogul and family man, he sees himself as an American success story. His slightly younger brother, on the other hand, is more of a cautionary tale. Balding and pot-bellied, Ray is the kind of guy who peaked in high school. Now a parole officer, he has a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he’s been dealt, and he blames Emmit for his misfortunes.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Fargo and/or Ewan McGregor? Will you watch season three?
