Fargo: Season Three Ratings

Fargo TV show on FX: season 3 ratings (canceled or renewed for season 4?)

The second season of the Fargo TV show (in 2015!) fell even further in the ratings, yet it still managed to score a season three renewal. Will the numbers improve in season three or will they bottom out? Will Fargo be cancelled or renewed for season four on FX? Stay tuned.

An FX crime drama anthology series, the third season of Fargo stars Ewan McGregor (in a dual role), with Carrie Coon, Michael Stuhlbarg, David Thewlis, Goran Bogdan, Andy Yu, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Taking place in 2010, the story follows the sibling rivalry between Emmit (McGregor) the “Parking Lot King of Minnesota,” and his younger brother Ray Stussy (McGregor), a pot-bellied parole officer. Although Emmit sees himself as an American success story, Ray is more of a cautionary tale.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The second season of Fargo averaged a 0.36 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.30 million viewers.

Cable ratings are usually released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to locate so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
