Fear Factor: Endemol Reviving Competition Series

Fear Factor TV show: (canceled or renewed?)

Fear Factor is making a comeback. Today, the series’ production company Endemol Shine North America announced they are currently casting a new season of the cancelled NBC series.

The original competition show premiered in 2001 on NBC. Hosted by Joe Rogan, the series pitted contestants against each other in challenging mental and physical stunts for a cash prize. The show first ended in 2006 and was then revived in 2011 for one season before being cancelled again.

Now, Endemol Shine is bringing Fear Factor back. The production company recently put out a casting notice for “adventurous, competitive teams of two.” A network for the revival wasn’t mentioned, so it’s unclear if the new season will air on NBC or not.

From Endemol Shine:

LOS ANGELES – March 10, 2017 – Endemol Shine North America, in association with The Casting Duo, are once again giving adventurous, competitive teams of two the chance to face their fears and compete for up to $50,000. Casting Duo is seeking all types of teams such as best friends, couples, siblings, co-workers, exes, roommates, etc., who are between 18-26 years old and live in Southern California. The revival of the hit competition series will challenge contestants to see if they have the guts and determination to face their fears while outpacing their competitors.

If fear is not a factor for you, apply now at www.fearfactor.tv. In order to be considered, you must apply before April 7th, 2017.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Fear Factor? Will you watch the revival?
