Felicity: See The Cast Reunite For The First Time

Remember Felicity? Were you Team Ben? Were you mad about Felicity cutting her hair for season two? The WB, now known as The CW, aired the series between 1998 to 1992. The series helped launch the career of Keri Russell, Scott Foley, and Scott Speedman.

The plot of the series was simple. A girl falls in love with boy, and she then follows him to college. Of course, there is drama along the way. He had no idea he had this girl from high school that in love with him. Along the way Felicity meets a new man, and a love triangle is born.

Since the end of Felicity, all three actors have gone on to have successful careers. Foley starred on The Unit and now stars on Scandal as Jake Ballard. Russell went back to television for The Americans on FX, and Speedman has gone on to the big screen.

The cast reunited for Entertainment Weekly’s Reunion issue, which is on newsstands now, and they stopped by The Today Show yesterday to talk about the series.

The cast talked about the popularity of the series, and they also talked about what fans hated about the series. One would think the love triangle would get the most attention. However, fans were most upset about Felicity’s decision to cut her hair.

Russell spoke about the reaction she still gets to the shocking move on the show.

“It was, like, kind of amazing that anyone cared. But, yeah, it was a big deal. People love hair. I loved it for the story. I mean, they called and they said, ‘Would you cut your hair for the show?’ And I was, like, ‘Yeah.’ It’s such an awesome thing that a college girl would do. They’ll [still] come up to me and say, ‘You were so pretty before you cut your hair.’ I’m, like, ‘Thank you. Thank you.'”

As for the series itself, Foley spoke about the story it told. Who doesn’t remember the drama of their college lives, after all?

“If you consider college — a sort of transitory period between being a kid and being an adult — you know, this for me, and I think for all of us, was, was definitely that. It was just a simple story about, you know, falling in love in a certain time in your life. I think we all knew how good the show was. And we had a fantastic writing staff and great actors, and a great audience. It’s like lightning in a bottle.”
