“The following preview has been approved for all browncoats.” A new teaser has been released for a fan-made, animated sequel to Firefly, Digital Spy reports.
Created by Joss Whedon, Firefly takes place in the future and follows the crew of the spaceship Serenity along the frontiers of space. The cast included Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, and Sean Maher. The show ended in 2002 after only one season.
Fan Stephen Byrne has taken it upon himself to create a sequel to the short-lived series titled The Animated Adventures of Firefly. Though unofficial, the series does include all the original characters from the show and has Nathan Fillion’s approval:
