The cast of The Flash is getting ready to start production on season three in a few weeks, and the first script for the CW has been teased. Grant Gustin went to his Twitter to tease the season three premiere script, and he was given permission to share the title with his followers on social media – and the rest of the fans.
The season three premiere is titled “Flashpoint.” Check out the tweets from Gustin about the episode below. The series will have its own take on the plot line from the comics.

TV Line revealed the following about the Flashpoint plot:
“The Flash very clearly set the stage for Flashpoint by sending Barry back in time to save his mother Nora from being killed by Reverse-Flash. But in doing so, he (likely) created an alternate timeline where his future is different in meaningful, yet-to-be-seen ways. (In the comic-book series, for example, Citizen Cold is the hero of Central City, while Barry doesn’t have his powers — and will scramble to get them back in order to make things ‘right.’)”
The Flashpoint plot for season three of The Flash could have a huge impact on the four series cross-over planned for December, featuring Arrow, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Entertainment Weekly offered their own thoughts on the impact:
“How will this effect Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl especially considering the shows will be crossing over for a four-way event in December? Technically, those storylines could feasibly continue without a direct effect — these heroes move on in this timeline, while Barry has created an entirely new timeline in which his mother never died. Or — hold onto your hats for a moment here — we could see Flashpoint leading up to another comic book storyline: Crisis on Infinite Earths, which The Flash has also been teasing since its pilot, with the crossover potentially serving as the episode that realigns the timelines and maybe even brings Supergirl to our Earth. But those are theories for another time.”
