UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — Sept. 28, 2016 — Following up on the phenomenal success of “Little Big Shots,” in which kids brought their amazing talents to a primetime audience, NBC has ordered “Little Big Shots: Forever Young,” where young-at-heart seniors will showcase their hidden talents, vibrant personalities and incredible wisdom.

The comedy/variety series, from Warner Horizon Television, will be executive produced by Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey, who will also host.

“We are excited to spotlight and celebrate the wit and wisdom of our elders,” said Paul Telegdy, President Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment. “We can’t wait to see Steve Harvey in action with these incredibly vigorous and energetic seniors as they give him a run for his money with their unique talents, dynamic personalities and irresistible charms.”

Mike Darnell, President, Warner Bros. Unscripted and Alternative Television, said: “The idea of doing a follow-up to ‘Little Big Shots’ focusing on seniors struck us as a no-brainer. Just like the kids, they have insane skills that will amaze and surprise you — not to mention the often hysterical (and sometimes shocking) things they say. As good a host as Steve Harvey is, he may have finally met his match with this incredible set of elder statesmen.”

As the #1 new series last season among total viewers, “Little Big Shots” showcased the talent and comedy of the very young. Now the spotlight turns to America’s seniors, where Harvey will showcase undiscovered rare talents and hysterical encounters with musicians, singers, dancers and every form of “elderkind” in the country. With many years of experience and wisdom, these seniors are sure to delight the audience with their strong opinions, incredible talent, and heartwarming stories.

Averaging a 2.4 rating in adults 18-49 and 13.0 million viewers overall with original episodes in its first season, “Little Big Shots” was the #1 new show of the season in total viewers and #1 new alternative series in adults 18-49. It was the most-watched new alternative series on any broadcast network in six years, since the debut of “Undercover Boss” during the 2009-10 season, and NBC’s most watched new alternative series in 10 years, since the premiere of “Deal or No Deal” during the 2005-06 season.

The New York Post said that “Little Big Shots” is “TV’s champ of the moment” and “…the closest thing to family fare you can find today,” while Newsday called Steve Harvey “terrific” and added that he is “a master at the slow deadpan, of the fast uptake, of the laugh that appears both spontaneous and genuine.”

Executive produced by DeGeneres, Harvey, Jeff Kleeman, Gerald Washington, Ed Glavin, Mary Connelly and Andy Lassner, “Little Big Shots: Forever Young” is from Warner Horizon Television, East 112th Street Productions and A Very Good Production.”
