Alex Taylor (Hank Azaria) is newly divorced, missing his kids, and trying to keep himself together. Alex’s co-worker is Helen (Kathryn Hahn). She thinks she has it all together, but in truth drinks too much because she’s trying to cope with her fiancé Pete’s untimely passing from a heart attack a year earlier. The two overworked public relations executives share an ill-fated night of alcohol and passion and are forced to cope with the awkward aftermath. While Alex and Helen try to figure out their lives and potential relationship, their co-workers at the PR firm of Hale Dayton Associates try to do anything to get them back into the dating game. Stephen (Anthony Head) is the office boss who’s concerned about Alex’s emotional stability but really just needs him to focus on his work. Dan (Mo Mandel) is a bachelor who’s in search of a wingman and Gregg (Al Madrigal) is the nerdy, lone husband of the group.
