Per Deadline, Freeform is developing the After TV series. A live-action Sleeping Beauty sequel, After comes from Tommy Lynch, who will co-write with Adam Lash and Cori Uchida and executive produce with Robin Schwartz. Lash and Uchida wrote an episode of Heroes Reborn, before that show was cancelled by NBC.
After is based on the fantasy novel, A Wicked Thing, by Rhiannon Thomas. The novel is described as a reimagining of “what happens after happily ever after.”
