Will Smith wants to take viewers back to Bel-Air. The actor is developing a spin-off of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which launched his acting career back in the 1990s. The popular sitcom starred Smith, James Avery, Daphne Reid, Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons, Tatyana Ali, and Joseph Marcell.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air aired for six seasons on NBC before it ended in 1996. In the past, Will Smith joked about having to play Uncle Phil if the series was ever rebooted, but there is no news yet on what the plot of the spin-off would be.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed Smith’s development plans in a recent report about how the actor turned his career around after a few blunders at the box office. By using social media and expanding his projects into other areas, the actor has rejuvenated his career. Now, it looks like he wants to revisit his past.
What do you think? Were you a fan of Smith’s Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? Would you watch the spin-off once it made it to television?
