On NBC, the night began with a Grimm repeat that garnered a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.84 million total viewers. It was followed by an original episode at 9pm — which had the best demo of the night. It registered a 1.6 rating with 5.31 million. This essentially matched the first season ender.
The peacock network finished the night with Dateline. The newsmagazine attracted a 1.3 demo rating and 4.79 million.
On CBS, the return of CSI: NY garnered a 1.3 in the demo with 9.0 million viewers. Compared to last year’s premiere, the cop series was down by 28% in the demo (vs a 1.8 rating) and down by 16% in viewers (vs 10.68 million).
The series premiere of Made in Jersey was a disappointment, registering a 1.1 rating with 7.74 million viewers. The demo was tied for second place with a rerun of Last Resort on ABC and FOX’s low-rated Fringe.
At 10pm, it was the season debut of Blue Bloods with a 1.5 rating and 8.12 million viewers. It won its timeslot in both categories but year-to-year, it was down by 25% in the demo (vs a 2.0 rating) and 32% in viewers (vs 12.06 million).
On ABC, a new episode of Shark Tank won its 8pm timeslot with a 1.5 demo rating and 5.89 million. That was down by 6%, the reality series’ second week of declines.
It was followed by a repeat of Last Resort (1.1 rating with 4.01 million) and an original episode of 20/20 (1.4 rating with 4.17 million).
On FOX, a repeat of The X Factor (1.1 rating with 3.28 million) led into the fifth and final season premiere of Fringe. It drew a 1.1 rating in the demo with 3.18 million. This was the show’s lowest premiere to date. Last season attracted a 1.5 in the demo with 3.48 million.
And finally, on The CW, America’s Next Top Model drew a 0.5 demo rating with 0.92 million viewers — about on par with last week’s installment. A repeat of Nikita followed with a 0.2 rating and 0.63 million.
