Touch ratingsSeptember 15, 2012 ratings: It was a positive ratings night for ABC’s Shark Tank The CW’s America’s Next Top Model while a special original episode of FOX’s Touch went essentially unnoticed. ABC easily topped each of its timeslots.

On ABC, Shark Tank kicked off their third season with a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.30 million total viewers. This was on-par with the second season debut from last January.

At 9pm, the return of Primetime: What Would You Do? drew a 1.7 in the demo with 5.40 million. Year-to-year, it was up by 6% in the demographic. It was followed by an original installment of 20/20 with a 1.8 rting and 6.13 million.

On NBC, the network first ran two hours of reruns; Guys with Kids (1.0 demo with 3.30 million), Go On (1.0 demo with 3.06 million), and Grimm at 9pm (0.7 demo with 0.74 million). At 10pm, an original installment of Dateline was in a distant second place with a 0.9 rating and 3.79 million viewers.

The CW aired an original episode of America’s Next Top Model, which was up week-to-week by 17% in the demo, with a 0.7 rating and 1.5 million. It was followed at 9pm by a Nikita rerun that garnered a 0.3 rating and 0.74 million.

On CBS, we had three reruns with matching demo ratings — Undercover Boss (0.7 in the demo with 4.19 million), CSI: NY (0.7 rating with 4.73 million), and Blue Bloods (0.7 demo with 4.93 million).

On FOX, the special bonus (leftover) episode of Touch matched the demo ratings of a CBS rerun with a 0.7 demo rating and 2.94 million viewers. It was followed by a Bones rerun that matched it’s lead-in demo with a 0.7 rating and 3.13 million. Clearly, Touch fans didn’t know or care that FOX was airing this episode.

Remember that these are the fast affiliate ratings and are subject to change. The individual show pages will be updated when we receive the updated ratings.

What do you think? Are you surprised by ABC’s dominance of the night? Do you think ANTM will continue to climb? What happened to Touch?
