Per the fast affiliate numbers (courtesy of the network’s “Masked Scheduler“), the fifth season premiere of Fringe drew a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.176 million viewers.
This was Fringe’s lowest-rated season premiere yet. Last year, it drew a 1.5 in the demo with 3.48 million viewers.
Perhaps now that viewers know that the show is ending (and therefore not in danger of being cancelled), they’re feeling more free to watch it on demand or online at a later time.
On the positive side, it was the show’s best demo since March and best viewership since last January.
