Fuller House is set for a February premiere on Netflix, and the cast is talking a bit more about the revival of Full House in interviews. John Stamos spoke about Fuller House in an interview on the Howard Stern show, and he cleared things up surrounding the no-show of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Spoilers released for the revival and shared by TV Series Finale last month revealed that a scene during the revival will show characters calling Michelle in New York with a prank call. Michelle Tanner moved there, and she is working on building her fashion empire.

Fans will not see Michelle during this call though, and it is not likely fans will ever see Michelle pop up on Fuller House.

John Stamos revealed the real story about Mary-Kate and Ashley not coming to the series. According to Jezebel, he said:

“I did call and talked to Mary-Kate and explained what the show is going to be and told them I’d love for them to be on there, and they decided not to, which I respect… They were very, very sweet. They seemed very into it. They just were afraid of acting. They don’t consider themselves actresses. I said maybe you guys will just be in New York and we’ll do a phone call or something and they were like, ‘Let us think about it,’ and it just wasn’t for them so…”

John Stamos also mentioned during the interview that the producers wanted to approach the youngest Olsen, Elizabeth Olsen, to appear on the series. This happened during another recent interview, according to E! Online. He said:

“We actually went to—I don’t think this has been talked about…I didn’t do it, I think Jeff Franklin did—I said, ‘Call the sister [Elizabeth Olsen]. Ask her’…We talked to her agent and her agent was like, ‘Come on she’s not going to do that,’ but we did call her agent.”
