Scott Weinger knows a thing or two about family comedies. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Fuller House star is developing a new series for FOX
Weinger plays DJ’s (Candace Cameron Bure) ex-boyfriend Steve Hale on Fuller House. He’s also appeared in Scrubs, What I Like About You, and voiced the title role in the Disney movie Aladdin.
Written by Weinger, the untitled FOX comedy is “about a married couple whose lives are turned upside down when the wife’s immigrant father comes to live with them. The father-in-law’s larger-than-life personality and his inclination to take big risks clashes with his strait-laced son-in-law.”
Weinger will executive produce the project alongside 3 Arts Entertainment’s Jonathan Berry. Meanwhile, Weinger will appear in season two of Fuller House, which debuts on December 9th on Netflix.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Fuller House? Would you watch Weinger’s FOX comedy?
