Hulu’s Future Man has some new company. Deadline reports the Ed Begley Jr. and Glenne Headly have been cast in the streaming service’s new comedy pilot.
The series comes from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
Written by Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir, Future Man “centers on Josh Futterman (Josh Hutcherson) a janitor by day/world-ranked gamer by night who is tasked with preventing the extinction of humans after mysterious visitors from the future proclaim him the key to defeating the imminent super-race invasion.”
Headly will reportedly play Josh’s mother, Diane, who still cooks, cleans, and provides her adult. Begley Jr. has been cast as Josh’s dad, Gabe, who is retired and supportive of his son.
Earlier, we reported that Eliza Coupe has also been cast in the half-hour pilot.
