What can fans expect from the final season of Game of Thrones? Recently, HBO boss Richard Plepler teased the TV show’s upcoming eighth and last season, Variety reports.
The hit fantasy drama is expected to debut its final season on HBO sometime later this year. The cast includes Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maisie Williams, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner, and Emilia Clarke.
At a Golden Globes afterparty, Plepler told Variety he has seen a rough cut of the final six episodes of Game of Thrones and fans will be satisfied:
“It’s a spectacle. The guys have done six movies. The reaction I had while watching them was, ‘I’m watching a movie. They knew the bar was high. They’ve exceeded the bar. I’ve watched them twice without any CGI and I’m in awe. Everybody’s in for an extraordinary treat of storytelling and of magical, magical production.”
