Is he alive or not? Recently, HBO addressed the status of Jon Snow in a new episode description for the season six premiere of Game of Thrones.
Kit Harington has played Snow, the bastard son of Lord Ned Stark, on the fantasy series since season one. Last season, it appeared he was gone for good.
Last week, we posted an interview with Harington where he teased his season six role as largely playing dead:
I was playing a corpse. I was there for a little bit, I was there for about a month or two months, it was spread over a bit and I was playing a corpse. Yeah, because when you’re lying dead you’ve got to film for a couple of months… I won’t tell you how many episodes I’m lying dead but it’s enough that I was out there for quite a while. It’s going to be so satisfying when you see it and you realize that I was telling the truth the whole time.”
Now, HBO confirms what Harington’s said by describing Jon Snow as “dead.” Here’s the episode description:
Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again.”
Guess we’ll have to wait for the season six premiere to see if he really is “dead” or not. Season six of Game of Thrones premieres on April 24th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
