Game of Thrones: HBO Showrunners Won’t Do a Prequel

After the Thrones TV show on HBO: HBO orders season one of Game of Thrones Talk Show

Sorry, Game of Thrones fans. Recently, showrunner David Benioff said he won’t be involved in any kind of prequel to the HBO series, EW reports.

Earlier, author George R.R. Martin said he has enough material to produce a prequel series to the popular fantasy drama, which only has two seasons left.

After the show won the 2016 Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, Benioff said a prequel is up to George, but he and co-showrunner D.B. Weiss won’t be involved:

You might want to ask George about that. It’s a great world that George created. I think it’s a very rich world, and I’m sure there will be other series set in Westeros, but for us, this is it. That’s really a question for George.”

Season seven of Game of Thrones premieres next summer.

What do you think? Are you a Game of Thrones fan? Do you want a prequel series?
