Game of Thrones’ seventh season is already breaking records and it hasn’t even premiered yet. Deadline reports the HBO series’ season seven trailer has been viewed 61 million times in one day.
The upcoming season will be the second-to-last for the popular fantasy drama. The cast includes Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Aidan Gillen, Kit Harington, Diana Rigg, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, and Iain Glen.
Since its release on May 24th, the trailer for season seven has garnered more than 60 million views across digital platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. This is reportedly the highest number of views for a TV show trailer in a 24-hour period.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Game of Thrones has broken records. For five years now, the series has won the title of most-pirated TV show. Will season seven continue the drama’s reign?
The new season premieres on HBO on July 16th.
