Will there be a Game of Thrones spin-off? Recently, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss teased a possible follow-up to the popular HBO TV series, Screen Daily reports.
Earlier, it was confirmed the drama’s upcoming seventh season will have only six episodes. The cast includes Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Aidan Gillen, Kit Harington, Diana Rigg, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, and Iain Glen.
During a recent appearance at SXSW, Benioff and Weiss said HBO may do a spin-off but they might not be a part of it:
We’ve talked about this, that we should all go on and do different things. I think HBO may well do a spin-off, but I think they should get new blood in.”
Season seven of Game of Thrones premieres on July 16th.
