Antwon Tanner is headed to EPIX. Deadline reports the One Tree Hill star has joined the network’s upcoming Get Shorty TV series.
Based on the novel by Elmore Leonard, the dramedy stars Chris O’Dowd as Miles Daly, “a hitman from Nevada who tries to become a movie producer in Hollywood as a means to leave his criminal past behind.” The cast also includes Ray Romano, Sean Bridgers, Megan Stevenson, Lidia Porto, Goya Robles, Lucy Walters, and Carolyn Dodd.
Tanner will play “Lyle, a mid-level lieutenant in the Josias Ramos’ Northern Nevada crime ring. He has a quick wit about him, rocks gold teeth, and favors his sawed-off shotgun over a pistol.” EPIX has already ordered 10 episodes of Get Shorty.
