Get Smart: First Photos of Steve Carell Movie

Warner Bros. has released some early photos of the upcoming Get Smart feature film. Unfortunately, they don’t tell us much except that the stars look great and the old shoe-phone gag is alive and well.

The movie is of course based on the classic Don Adams television series and stars Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart/Agent 86 and Anne Hathaway as the lovely Agent 99. Others in the cast include Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Alan Arkin, Terence Stamp, Bill Murray, Masi Oka, David Koechner, and Ken Davitian.

The only member of the original show’s cast expected to appear is Bernie Koppel who originated the role of KAOS baddie Siegfried. You can read more about that and see the movie trailer here. The movie arrives in theaters on June 20, 2008 and a made-for-DVD sequel hits stores soonafter. Stay tuned!
