Gilmore Girls: Door Being Left Open for Future Revivals

Gilmore Girls TV show;

Is more Gilmore Girls possible? Recently, Daniel Palladino told Entertainment Weekly that the new Netflix reboot might not be the end of the mother-daughter dramedy.

Palladino is co-writing and co-directing the four 90-minute revival episodes alongside the series’ creator/his wife, Amy Sherman-Palladino.

When asked if the new episodes would be the end of Gilmore Girls, he said not necessarily:

We just never say never.

The cast is not killed in a terrible explosion at the end. Spoiler alert! It’s sort of a wacky world out there. It’s more difficult logistically than it would be for Amy and I to come up with stories. We don’t know if this is the ending because we never thought Gilmore Girls would come back in any form. But it’s a new world out there and there are new ways to experience things. Who knows? It might be a radio broadcast next. Just us, a couple of mikes, a Foley artist.”

Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai Gilmore, added:

To read the final episode, it’s not totally final.”

Just last week, Netflix released the first images from the reboot and it was announced that Melissa McCarthy would make an appearance.

A premiere date for the reboot series has not been announced yet.

What do you think? Are you a Gilmore Girls fan? Would you like to see the series continue beyond the reboot?
