PREPARE TO GO BIG IN THE NEW YEAR WITH NEW FOOD NETWORK SERIES “GINORMOUS FOOD”

Six-Episode Travelogue Premieres Friday, January 6th at 8pm ET/PT on Food Network

NEW YORK – December 12, 2016 – Food fanatic Josh Denny is on a quest to find the greatest, tastiest and hugest meals in Ginormous Food, premiering Friday, January 6th at 8pm ET/PT on Food Network. Follow Josh over six half-hour episodes on his culinary journey through Baltimore, Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Philadelphia and Richmond, as Josh meets the passionate people who come up with these innovative creations to find out what makes them so enormous and delicious, while sinking his teeth into these culinary monsters. Whether it is a 14-pound bagel leviathan overflowing with smoked salmon and white fish salad, a stack of hot chicken tenders layered between a tower of four fried cheese sandwiches all topped with baked apples, or a heaping stack of pancakes that clocks in at 30 pounds, Josh’s ultimate goal – to find the intersection of huge and delicious, while taking down every Ginormous Food America has to offer.

“Being able to seek out and experience the biggest and most audacious meals around is a food lover’s dream. What better way to start off the New Year?” said Didi O’Hearn, Senior Vice President Programming, Food Network and Cooking Channel. “Josh Denny’s comedic sensibility combined with his passion for food offers audiences a front row seat to mouthwatering entertainment as they discover these bold dishes.”

All the wonder and delectableness of Josh’s journeys takes him to some of the best culinary cities in the country, including Josh’s hometown of Philadelphia, where he is on the hunt for a nine-pound super-hero sandwich that’s a massive pile-up of bacon, pork and cheese. In Nashville, Josh cruises through the heart of country music as he visits a diner that serves a chicken gyro sandwich that is 17 pounds, along with a cheesesteak that is made with six pounds of steak, one pound of cheese and three pounds of homemade coleslaw and hand-cut fries. While in Louisville, Josh gets his hands on a carnivore’s delight consisting of more than a pound of roast beef with fried vegetables and smothered in au jus and homemade marinara sauce served on a 12-inch roll. There is no such thing as too big, as Josh continues his travels through the country tasting all the unique dishes and learning the amazing stories behind them.

Josh Denny has spent the last decade traveling the country chasing his passion for the best food while serving up heaping portions of funny as a stand-up comedian. Originally from Philadelphia and currently residing in Los Angeles, Josh’s lifelong trip across our nation has armed him with a vast knowledge of what makes your belly smile, whether it be with a clever comedic observation, or dropping knowledge on the best eats in the country.
