Girl Meets World: Cancelled? No Season Four According to Rider Strong

It looks like Girl Meets World will be saying goodbye next year. Recently, star Rider Strong confirmed that season three will be the end of the Disney Channel TV series, Deadline reports.

A sequel to the ABC sitcom Boy Meets World, the show follows the family of Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga Matthews (Danielle Fishel). The cast also includes Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, Peyton Meyer, and August Maturo.

For some time it’s been suspected that season three would be the end for the Disney Channel sitcom. Earlier, we reported the season three finale has been aptly titled “Girl Meets Goodbye” and it will feature the biggest Boy Meets World reunion yet. Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), Minkus (Lee Norris), Alan (William Russ), Amy (Betsy Randle), Eric (Will Friedle), Mr. Turner (Anthony Quinn), Shawn (Rider Strong), Harley (Danny McNulty), and both Morgans (Lily Nicksay, Lindsay Ridgeway) will all appear in the episode.

While Disney has not officially announced the series’ cancellation, Strong revealed on his podcast “Literary Disco” that the show is over:

We finished the third season of Girl Meets World — my brother and I were directing a lot of episodes and I acted in a couple — and the show ended.”

The third and (likely) final season of Girl Meets World premieres on January 6th.

What do you think? Have you seen Girl Meets World? Are you sad the show is ending?
