What’s next for the Girls? HBO has released new previews for season five of the Lena Dunham dramedy.
The new season begins on February 21st. Earlier this month, HBO confirmed that Dunham will be ending the series after its next season.
The end of season four found the four lead women embarking on new paths. The first episode back picks up with those journeys, as Hannah (Dunham is in a relationship with Fran (Jake Lacy), Marnie (Allison Williams) is about to get married, and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) is working in Japan.
In one of the previews, Dunham added:
Season five is a lot about expanding these characters’ lives. We’re putting them, for the first time, in truly adult circumstances and learning just how hard that can be.”
