What’s the future look like for Goliath now that it’s won a Golden Globe? Star Billy Bob Thornton recently addressed the possibility of a second season of the Amazon series, Deadline reports.
This past weekend, Thornton picked up the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Drama for his role as Billy McBride, a washed up lawyer who takes on the major corporate firm he helped create. The show’s cast also includes Maria Bello, William Hurt, Olivia Thirlby, Sarah Wynter, and Molly Parker.
At the awards, Thornton said Prime Video is interested in a season two:
They would like to do another season, I know that much. This one was written in a way that it had a beginning, middle and an end so that was the intention, but I honestly believe there is more potential for this show beyond the first season.”
As of now, Amazon has not announced a renewal or cancellation for Goliath.
