Greenlight season also means rejection season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has passed over several pilots, including a comedy from Amy Poehler.
Earlier, we reported NBC picked up several series for the 2016-17 season, including the time-travel drama Timeless and Tina Fey’s new comedy Great News.
NBC’s passed-over pilots include the Time Crunch, a comedy pilot starring Craig Ferguson as the “volatile host” of a game show. Andrea Anders, Kyle Howard, and Kellee Stewart also starred.
Also on the rejection list is Amy Poehler’s new project, Dumb Prince, a pilot from Charlie Grandy about a “black sheep” son who returns to win the family throne. Nico Evers-Swindell, Elizabeth Perkins, Kevin Nealon, and Tim Baltz starred.
NBC passed on four other comedies—the ensemble comedy Good Fortune, comedian Sebastian Maniscalo’s sitcom, Sebastian, Vladimir Caamano’s father-son pilot A Bronx Life, and Matt Hubbard’s in-law comedy Grand Junction.
What do you think? Do you watch NBC? Do any of the passed-over pilots interest you?
