The Good Place: NBC Teases the Finale; Will There Be a Second Season?

Is it time to say goodbye to The Good Place? NBC has released new details about the freshman series’ upcoming season finale.

Created by Michael Schur, the high-concept comedy stars Kristen Bell as Eleanor Shellstrop, a not-so-great woman who finds herself mistakenly sent to “the good place” after she dies. The cast also includes Ted Danson, D’Arcy Carden, Jameela Jamil, Manny Jacinto, and William Jackson Harper.

So far, season one of The Good Place is doing well in the ratings. Nine episodes in, the comedy is averaging a 1.46 rating in the 18-49 demo and around 5.147 million viewers. All signs suggest NBC will renew the critically acclaimed series for a second season.

The season one finale of The Good Place airs on January 19th.
